Looking for good used stock rear shocks for my chrome and burgundy 2011 C5 that I'm rebuilding after a bad bout of corrosion ate and pitted most of the chrome off mine.
Colour of the shrouds is not important as i can repaint them black.  PM me if you have a set to part with.

You can have mine if you don't mind covering the shipping cost.  These were taken off after ~500 miles when I switched to Hagons.  PM sent.  Thanks!

I think the stock shocks are best discarded.  You can buy a set of oil filled universal shocks, the right length & stiffness, that will work better & last many years, ON EBAY. This is what I did, & it improved my handling tremendously. See pic of inexpensive EBAY shocks.
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

There was actually nothing wrong with the C5 stock rear shocks....at least not on my bike.  My switch to Hagons was for two reasons. It was a non-critical part of my overall modifications to fix the high speed instability of the early C5s caused primarily by the front rake and 18" wheels, and I liked the look of a skinnier all chrome rear shock.

Desi, the shocks were mailed today....no payment needed for shipping.....will look forward to seeing photos of your completed bike :)

Awesome.  Thank you.  I see you are a jeeper. Can i mail you back a copy of The Jeep Bible by Moses Ludel as a thank you.  I no longer own a jeep and the book is just gathering dust like the shocks were.

I am happy with my stock 2011 B5 shocks.  They seem to work as well as any stock dual shocks that I have tried over the years.

I am a sucker for the 'fully shrouded' rear shocks look.  I think it is more in the spirit of the mid-50s. Hagons are expensive, but they are also fit and forget.  I have a cheaper set of fully shrouded rear shocks on my Francis Barnett. They are 'Armstrong', and also very good for about a 1/3 of what the Hagons cost. Mind you, the "Frannie B" is a lightweight bike and doesn't place many demands on its suspension. Hitchcock list a very inexpensive set of Armstrong shrouded rear shocks for older bullets, but not for more recent ones.

Edited by Blair for lousy spelling .....
