Motorcycles and technology don't mix. They are not supposed to. Motorcycles should be very elemental machines devoid of any kind of electronic technology. They should be an escape from the technology that surrounds us nearly 24 hours a day. Humans have a primitive side, and that is what Harleys and Royal Enfields cater to. The only part on my Enfield that I do not like is the EFI. Oh, and the clutch and sidestand "nanny" switches, but those are long gone. But many bikes come with far more intrusive computerized crap, like ABS and traction control. And it will only get worse. Having already gone to EFI (at least it's a retrofit that can be removed, for now) and nanny switches, I hope they don't go any farther. Just the thought of a RE with ABS makes me cringe. Of course, that too can be disconnected. But it has no reason to be there in the first place. That's one of the reasons I like guns. Simple low tech devices that make noise and give you a thrill to shoot. And no computers. I thought RE was supposed to be "built like a gun"
