I wasn't sure where to post this, but maybe the sidecar area is best.

I just purchased a new Electra with the avl engine, and a cozy sidecar.  Its black, is that the fastest, like most folks on other motorcycle forums say ? 

I'm looking forward to getting some miles on the bike, should pick it up today, and hopefully the sidecar won't be too far behind.

I've been riding a long time, 47 years.  Probably a lot of folks on here are in a similar situation, and I'm looking forward to learning and sharing, since this is my first sidecar set up.

Yes, the AVL is the fastest there is. I tend to stay in 4th gear because I get a little nervous at those excessive speeds in 5th gear. Luckily in your case the Cozy will slow you down enough to keep you at reasonably safe speeds

Welcome to another sidecar driver. I know you'll enjoy the ride. Be for warned when you go somewhere plan additonal time for those who want to talk, take pics etc. 

BTW: The general concensus is that Green has always been faster
