REvs, why the 7" Headlight?
Isn't the one that comes on the bike 7"?
I haven't done to much night riding and just curious as what the 7" upgrade does?

The USA models have a smaller headlight, because USDOT requires screw adjusters to angle the headlight.  If you look at the front of a US model headlight, you may notice a thicker silver ring aroun the front headlight.

What it does for us is illuminate more of the road and farther forward then the smaller lamp  can thus giving us greater reaction time  and safety margins and it does this without having to resort higher wattage bulbs  :)
No matter where you go, there, you are.

Plus, it looks like it belongs on the bike.

Exactly all good points, it makes a HUGE difference for riding at night. With the smaller 5 3/4 i wasn't able to pick up imperfections in the road with the 7 inch it's perfect. As mentioned earlier it also projects much further up the road.  Dare I say the difference is night and day.  :P

I bought a new Royal Enfield 500 bullet classic in 2009 and traded it for the GT in 2014.  The GT is way better, especially the handling that is superb.  Also, as you have noted, it looks good as all sorts of people will tell you if you get one.

It is comfy to ride as the "clip ons" are not as low as most other bikes so good for commuting although low gear is quite high.  I use mine for weekend rides but also for commuting and am happy.

Good luck
