2014 with just over 1k miles,  mechanically no issues.  Negative battery terminal broke off around 35 miles and the cool chromed wire heat shield on the muffler fell off and lost forever LoL.

Love this bike a a ton!   ;)

ToesNose, I have two of the cool chromed wire things that have fallen off both our bikes, other than that 1000miles of easy trouble free fun

I spoke too soon,  was stuck on the side of the road heading home from work today.  Looks to be electrical,  most likely a rubbed wire or bad ground.  Luckily it's a kick start and I jumped the headlight wires already,  just left the lights off and kicked it over to limp home.  I had to Rev her like crazy when stopped at lights,  only died one more time,  but made it home.  Looks like I'll be hunting down a short and rewiring over the winter.

I take it you've checked the battery terminals again?

Yup while I was stuck on the side of the road and after getting home,  I'll have time this weekend to hunt down the culprit.

'12 c5, bought a little less then 5 months ago, and put 3600 mile on her. No real issues thus far. I fried a control box, and have been having an electric start problem which I have yet to get sorted. Other then that no issues *fingers crossed*. I ride everyday, rain or shine. Typically on highways of 65-70mph.

At 30000km I have very little good to say about this bike other than when it's running it's fun to ride and sure looks pretty . But I have had innumerable problems and quite frankly regret the day I bought it .

well while the complaints are rollin in I too am not happy about the colour of mine. I've been thinking that a lagoon blue C5 would be a far better choice for me.
now they are due in OZ early November so if I buy that bike around friggin 7 weeks later it will be 2016 and its already a year old....so just can't bloody win!
by the way sorry to hear about the other problems that plague the bikes too.

texmex - Did you replace your regulator/rectifier with the stock part or did you find something else?

Bill
I simply took her to the dealer under warranty, the dealer used a stock part for warranty. If it happens again after warranty ill have to see about an aftermarket upgrade.

Edit-added
Had the second problem last night, on the way home from work she felt wobbly and disjointed on the front end. Checked this morning and the right fork pinch bolt that holds onto the axle had come loose, tightened it up and problem solved.
Except now the steering while moving is extremely stiff but moves easily while sitting still or moving slowly so gotta figure that one out now.
Stil a great bike, i like feeling needed.

I've had a couple of minor things but nothing that left me on the side of the road. What I have had fail is more of an annoyance than anything else.

2014 C5 Classic.  Bought in June.

Put about 3,500 miles on it almost immediately.  Had a few loose nuts and bolts.  Then the rectifier mount broke.  Welded and spray painted by the dealer.  Then a weld seam cracked in the tank and the bike started dripped gasoline on the exhaust pipe!  Yikes!

The bike has been deadlined now due to the tank issue for nearly seven weeks.  The dealership is still waiting on a replacement tank from Royal Enfield.  Apparently sheet metal parts are hard to get from India for some reason.  Not a very happy camper at this point in time.

Yep.  And the weather's getting cold now so I guess my riding season is about at an end.

Forgot to add that my muffler bracket broke.  The nut on the back side of the muffler vibrated itself through the mount.
