Hey guys,
I am still looking for a 1956 seat, for a Bullet or Meteor/Super Meteor dual seat, or even better a Chief seat.
Has anyone got one spare? If it's only the steel plate, it would be enough to build it.
The later model available from Hitchcocks and several other dealers doesn't fit, so that's no choise.
Thanks in advance,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I have to get my 1958 Chief's seat reupholstered, I could get the seat pan copied for you at the same time.  Not sure how much it would cost though.  What do you think?

Sure it will be a while though.  If you haven't heard from me in a month give me a yell.  I am going to see Phil on the weekend I will ask him if there are any major differences between seat pans for the years.

I have a factory seat I'm no longer using.  I can post a pic when I get back to Denver tomorrow.

Now I think this is the correct seat but the mount was modified.  I'm not really sure and I didn't leave it on the bike for long.

Hi Scottie,
thanks for the pictures. Anyway I seem to miss the brackets used to mount the seat to the frame?! Are those bolted on, or really missing?
Did you get my pm?

I'm not sure what is up with the seat mounts.  I just know that on my bike it was bolted thru the top of the rear fender which I don't believe is correct.  It's a steel seat pan tho, so it should be easy enough to modify it to mount it how it should be.
