Compared to an iron barrel...it should be whole new experience.  The only down side will be the limited ability to do any of your own repairs. Happy riding!

Then, there is also the loss of interest by the people passing by the parked bike.

"Just another damn motorcycle."  instead of,
 "WOW!  I haven't seen a nice old British single for years!  What year is it?  Have you had it long and fixed it up that way?
These old British bikes had a cult following back when I was younger and I had a BSA 441. 
I sure wish I hand't sold it and I've been looking for something like your bike for years......." :)

But  LT still gets ridden :) :) :) :)..........Riding my RE is still an enjoyable experience.......I have no intentions of giving it up or permanently parking it. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Half the fun of Enfields is coming home in a tow-truck. Good luck with the new bike. It don't matter how you get there as long as it's on two wheels, or sometimes three in my case. Can't stop smiling as I cruise round in my Enfield outfit.
