you know i'll receive my ironhead bullet, in new condition within a few weeks...
i'd like to buy a first set of improvment parts...
i already got a off road uswept silencer...
will remove the PAV
will cut the downpipe to remove the end where it's partially blocked
i'll order a set of injectors for the carb
and i need a better breathing air filter system

that's where i need your help to decide which one...
as an option i got
- Hitchcock filter case (looks badly finished, i'm not keen on it)
- K&N directly on the carb (not sure if it optimum)
- or ace air filter canister... but i don't know if it's still possible to buy it.. ACE??
i think it's the best looking air filter system and i'm pretty sure it does its job...
Ben

           Injectors ?  ???

Get Ace's canister. Not only does it do the best job exactly as it's supposed to, but you just cannot get any cooler an air cleaner for an Enfield (especially an Ironhead).
RI USA '08 Black AVL Classic.9.8:1 ACEhead/manifold/canister. TM32/Open bottle/hot tube removed. Pertronix Coil. Fed mandates removed. Gr.TCI. Bobber seat. Battery in right side case. Decomp&all doodads removed. '30s Lucas taillight/7" visored headlight. Much blackout & wire/electrical upgrades.

Ace's coffee can is more than just a cool filter. For lack of better words the can by itself has some positive flow effects. It is an outgrowth of some of the total inlet tract development work he was doing circa 2008-2009.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

A good starting point for jets in your 28mm Mikarb stock carburetor  at sea level with Ace Air Canister and free flow silencer would be :
pilot jet 27.5
needle jet  P2
main jet 127.5
needle set to richest adjustment  (clip in bottom groove )
Start tuning with air bleed screw 1.5 turns out from fully closed (in) position.  Fine tune after that.

Thanks Ace,
would you change the throttle slide to 2.5 or keep the 3 slide??

I would try keeping the slide that you have.  It may be okay.  If you get a cough at 1/8 throttle that you cannot tune out, then try the richer slide. Slides cost a lot.
