After desiring for years, researching for months, and a couple weeks for shipping, My Bullet 500 Classic  arrived a few weeks ago. I bought it from board member Charro (Andy is a great guy and very helpful) The bike is a real dream for me. I tell people who ask that I ride a '55 Royal Enfield. If they know bikes at all, I tell them it's a '55 that was built in '03.

On to the pics! ( Let me know what you think or what you'd change. I still think it needs a pedestrian slicer for the front)

Very nice. Where are the turn signals?

I must retreat to my place of Zen and meditate on this.

There is a special place in my heart for those kickstart-only Bullets!

Yours looks really nice!

Nice Bonneille there too!

I'm 53 years old, and have had many different bikes, most of which would now be considered "classic", because of my age. I guess I'm a "classic" too!
73 Ducati 750 Sport
74 Ducati 750 GT
77 Ducati 500 GTL
77 Laverda 1200 3c Jarama
77 Benelli 750 SEI(6 cy).
82 BMW 650
2000 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Deluxe
BTW, I didn't buy any of them new, and owned them out of order. I didn't buy all 3 '77 bikes in the same year!  I owned each of them for several years.
And after all those different, and very fine machines, I like the Bullet  best of all, in a tie with the round-case bevel drive Ducati 750. I'd have another one of them, if I could afford it now. And the feel of the Bullet and Duc 750 are very similar.
As I look back on it, I was mostly an "Ital-ophile", but I probably should have had some Brit iron earlier in my life, now that I know how nice they are.

And that's coming from a guy who's been around the block a few times, tried the big displacement fast machines, rode the highways, and finally settled back into a Bullet for "the duration".
The Bullet is a bike you should probably keep forever. You will never outgrow it, and it will only get more comfortable with age. There will always be other "flashy bikes" that might attract your attention over the years, and there's nothing wrong with having other bikes too. But the Bullet is a keeper.

BTW, that black and white photo with you on the bike with a big smile on your face is really a great photo! I could swear that was taken in the 1950s!

I can answer those questions for Chris. I did the mods when i owned it.

CMW shorty exhaust.
32mm Mikuni
Piston is stock.

It has plenty of snort to it.

Thanks! I wrote the above description at the end of a very long day and realized I was falling asleep while I did it. The top post has been edited. The turn signals are in hand, but haven't been installed yet. Thanks for looking.
