So I like motorcycles and I'm planning a vacation to British Columbia soon.  In my random wanderings on the web I ran across this:
http://sikhmotorcycleclub.org/?page_id=8

Pretty cool little club, really interesting reason they were founded.  Sounds like some fun guys to hang out with.

Well ya, I went for scholarships to Britain many years ago. Love the country, wish I could take one day my bike on a trip trough Scotland.

i might mean the germans referring to the ghurkas. you really want them or the sikhs at your back.

fine, for me friendship is however something between individuals not groups. Other than that I don't see the historical context between Germany and Shiks you referring to.

the ghurkas scared the germans in trench fighting in ww1; small fearless guys with big knives.

The guys with the khukri, that must have been ww1 and ww2. There was however many bigger reasons to be scared about in that time and the resent development in the EU is not very pleasant either, lets see who's fault it is going to be this time when the shit hits the fan. I am swedish by the way....

My first name Otto has become unpopular in Germany after ww2, although it was frequently used for over 1000 years and was popular german name since the Ottonian dynasty. Today you may find it therefore more pressent in Sweden than in Germany....

Great video, bikes/jackets in the link at the bottom of that page.  Definitely a fun group!

Sikhs/Indian army were a very large part of the British forces fighting the Germans in Europe/North Africa, and the Japanese in Burma/SE Asia.

That is cool.  I couldn't tell if they have any riders in the Nelson B.C. area.  I'm fairly close the there and it's an amazing ride.
