Iv actually cycled the French Pyrenees on a 16 pound carbon fiber bicycle last year the same time the Tour de France was going on.  A 30 hp GT would for sure have its work cut out going up 10 to 15 % grades and in a lot of cases even steeper.

Yeah, thanks medra, she's cute (wait, there were bikes in that video?  I was distracted by the French speaking ladies...)!

I guess that's what first gear is for? ;)

Medra42 that was one of the best motorcycle vids. That would be a dream ride for sure, but I would be stuck with only the old stinky guys; Wait I am a old stinky guy :)

Not sure i agree, landscape was fantastic. But what do I know, I live in Sweden where 90% of women are blonde and exceed in number the male population. Probably it is gods compensation for the bad weather  ;D

Hey medra42,

That was a beautiful ride with amazing company. I do not speak or understand French so I was this professionally organized, or just a bunch of friends doing their thing? I would appreciate if you could provide more info on this. With the 40th birthday approacing I have been thinking of doing something beyond the usual. This just might be it, followed by a test match at Lords.....a man can dream....right?

Thanks a lot.

I also don't speak French. But from what I can tell these women travel some mountainous areas on motorbikes because they love it. I think the filming and "professional organization" might help to sponsor, but they're really just trying to promote women on motorbikes.

I'm open to correction on any and all point.

Women on motorcycles just make me smile and give me hope for mankind.

It's a beautiful thing.

My girl watches stuff like that slack jawed. Ms. Farmer does not belong on the pillion (she's a scary scared squirmer) let alone at the controls.

I've seen her freeze on a bicycle...

I guess that's what first gear is for? ;)

First gear would get its work out going up and your white knuckles would get a work out going down  ;)  I know mine sure did but then again living in FLAT Houston, I don't have much experience going down a mountain at 50+ mph on a 16 pound carbon bike with tires that are 23 mm wide and have a foot print of less then the size of a quarter, and the last thing you want to do is hit the brakes for fear of sliding the rear tire witch will lead to lots of road rash.

And since were on the topic of motorcycles and bicycles... An interesting fact...a bike will out run a motorcycle down a mountain.
