I never thought of stuffing anything small underneath the seat in the space where the cal is. Like I roll up a rain jacket and stuff it under there.

Just be sure whatever you put in the area around the rear wheel cannot move or slide out of its position.

I know of at least one case where a jacket worked its way loose from its bungeed location on the back of the seat.

It chose exactly the time when he was charging thru a twisty to come loose and wedge itself between the swingarm and the tire.

Before that happened he had a beautiful BMW R 90.  After it happened he had severe road rash and a totaled Beemer.

no worries. if I ever did put something under the seat it would be tied up good where it couldn't come lose.  Iv seen what rain jackets can do when they get in to the spokes of a carbon bicycle wheel.  nore the bike or the rider had a fun time.

When I was riding a V-Twin, I got a Sabregear thigh pack.  It's like a drop leg holster set-up with Velcro and zipped compartments.  I got it because I don't like riding with a backpack.  It also converts to a sling bag (bandolier style) if you want to use it like a backpack. It worked well for me, but you can't carry a massive amount of stuff.

Unfortunately, it appears Sabregear went out of business during the recession.  However, you might look into sling bags or a thigh pack for carrying some essentials.

Don't think Ill need anything like that for this ride but once the bike gets fully broken in then id like to take some longer trips witch something like that might be handy.

I don't know what there called but in the US theres a bag that is popular with high school kids that is just a small bad that you ware like a back pack but the straps are like shoe laces and there's knobs that are spring loaded and you squeeze them to draw the straps tight and then the knob will hold it tight.  theres not much room in the bad but maybe like a small light weight rain jacket or like a sand witch and a few bottles of water or light weight stuff like that would be good for putting in it.  I thought about getting one of those.  you can make it tight  and its not bulky and would probably ride good on your back.  theres a guy at work that rides with one and iv seen other guys on bikes ridding with them.

I used to have a Vetter bagman tailpack that was a daily commute catch all.  It'd hold a few shields, rain suit and my lunch inside and 3 outside pockets for little things.  four hooked bungees held it to my pillion.

Now I have a small Joe Rocket magnetic tank bag, that I can stuff nearly the same amount in (sans lunch).  Handy and use it every ride.

But I think for a weekend, I could certainly pack enough in my big old Timbuk2 messenger bag.  I've packed for week long casual work trips in this monster...

Well, I would post pictures of the ride but it won't let me upload the pictures. Even though I was out in the countryside it wasn't too scenic. You're out in the country but its all wooded area not real good for taking a nice scenic picture.

The fun ended to quickly, didn't it? :)

Your picture files are too large.  You need to shrink them down, both in size and in resolution.  Then they will upload and post.

Actually I took the pictures with my phone and for some reason it doesn't save the picture to a file that the forum recognizes

There is a simple answer for this.... just hand the phone to any 12 year old and they will fix it in 10 seconds. ;)

Oh I forgot to say that while stopped at a gas station a man probably in his very late 50s or early 60s asked me if it was an old bike or a new one. So I told him and he asked if it was still being built in England.  So I told him.  He then goes on to tell me that he had a 65 RE and sold it for a 67 T100 and just sold that last month for a 68 Norton.  He sure liked the GT!
