I think that it is.

The $2 to the pound doesn't help either.

Ok, here's the scoop.  Bawa doesn't really ship overseas....technically he can just use DHL, but can't front the money, and I think he doesn't want to get into all that.

So, if any of you are really interested, I'd suggest just contact DHL or FedEx and ask them how much they'd charge from Delhi to your place.  I'd recommend pricing in insurance.

Then, if still interested, we have to get him the 100 bucks up front (or more if you go for something fancy with chrome, etc.).  I don't know how else to do this other than I help you facilitate the transaction (you send me the money to my bank and I give him the cash in rupees).   Then I can ship from my company and somehow you get me the money.

None of us know each other so there is a huge leap of faith here on both sides.  However, as RE enthusiasts, I'm willing to help.

Also, needless to say, I can't guarantee or take legal responsibility for any of this.

Ok, that's my disclaimer.  Frankly, if one of you can find a dealer who might want to take this on, it would be great.

Let me know if anyone is interested, and we can discuss next steps.

Hi all!

I had some interest in the 22 liter tank, so I thought I'd post these pics.

I'm taking a trip this week from Manali, India to Leh, India (check it out on Wikipedia).  I tried 5 months ago, but the roads were washed out and we had to turn back after Rohtang La.

I had a 22 liter tank made for the trip, which should give me a safe range of about 600 kms in the mountains.

With a little American humor, I had the message stenciled on it ;-)

A friend I'm going with also had a 22 mounted on his 350 for the trip.

Wish me luck!

Just curiosity, but how much did your tank cost?
