three ways roadhouse nt  last night in a cabin in the top end of aust

also last day to run the car at the legal 130 kph or 80 mph speed limit. but with all the dead roos, cattle, buffalo, birds dead along the road -you still have to be very careful and alert

nt/qld border legal speed 110kph or 70 mph. bad state for radar and speed cameras  ;D

area famous for the pub scene in crocodile Dundee

looking around outside that pub - wheres the creek....lol

further up the road I tried a go at fishing - no luck

even my mate wasn't impressed. you can see him in the above photo

longreach qld

home of quantas airways

pulled up under this street sign

but not what I was looking for

this was the bustard I was looking for - plains turkey or bustard bird very good eating but now protected by law

last of the mass termite nests

very last decorated termite nest

lots of road kill on this section of road mainly all roos......probably several thousand dead along the road in various stages of decay. most are bowled over at night by those huge road trains on previous threads. in some areas 10 or15 knocked over in one hit.
worst art of all no-one moves them off the road so they are a bit of a danger when driving a long slung sports car.

Yes, thanks for the pictures.

Glad to see you made it home safe and sound.
Speaking of home, now you might be able to find some time to share some more of the great photos you took?  Please?

good to hear you enjoyed the photo sessions. in all I took around 2500 photos and close on 300 small video clips.
I might load one or two clips in the next few days and see what you think.

Thanks for sharing your adventure Bill!  So many great pictures!  All that roo-road-kill at the end was crazy.  I'm sure they do some serious damage to an average car as well.
