Well, after doing 100 miles on the back of my bike my wife has a complaint about the comfort level of the stock seat.

I also think for the driver the stock seat is lacking and am looking for advice on what to put on as a replacement.

Should I get the stock seat recovered? (we have a good place in Jacksonville that does such things)

Is it possible to get dual Solo seats? (like a Ural)  I like the solo seat idea the best as far as looks go but have heard the pillion is awful.

Should I spring for a deluxe seat?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated..

It is possible to get dual solo seats, you are going to have to do it yourself though. Why not? Look at the CJ750 pictures and you will see some. My better half thinks that the pad that is offered with the carrier is more comfortable than the stock seat. It is a pain to get setup properly.I would suggest, any avenue you decided upon, just go and get you seats professionally set up. I am. Think about it, If your seat is comfy you are good! If it isn't things suck.
I can ride forever on my seat but my girlfriend cant handle 50mi. All stock seats from all manufacturers are pretty much the same. get A high quality seat fit your victims to sit on.

My wife seems to like the sprung pillion and I like the Deluxe solo, tho I would go for the "Premium" version. I have the tan solo which does not, of course, match the black pillion. So maybe you want to go "black". I cannot vouch for the Lycette seat for the driver. My wife only weighs 105 in her b'day suit, but I think the extra springing action is gonna make any woman happier compared to the stiff suspension on the Enfield.

We have not yet made epic journeys on the bike together, perhaps 50 miles each way. Personally, I cannot envision stting on any saddle for more than 100 miles at a time. Even on my Beemer I got off and stretched and butt-scratched by that time. Even in the car I have to get out and walk around a bit after two hours.

If you get the Deluxe you might want to consider the 3" springs. The stock 5" springs were a far reach for my 30" inseam and the side-swaying was unnerving at times in a corner.

-Jesse, spring has sprung, but summer is not yet....done!

I think I will go for the same sprung option as you have with the Deluxe seat.

Unfortunately my wife loves to ride on the back but does not wish to drive,  But I have found a work around on that.  We want to eventually get a side hack, and as it is  I think I can justify buying a second bike with disk brakes (electra) since mine only has drums. Yup,  thats the ticket....

You could always get a new old lady that likes the seat as is. Soak your butt in brine to toughen it up and your part of the seat will be fine :o.......Dew.

Well I'd suggest a 5' 10" tall, 26 year old blonde with a 38d 24 34 figure and lots of money, but obviously the change is up to you!!!!

Very difficult to get it just right as what suit one height/shape of person doesn't suit others.
Trail and error I guess. Good luck!

I got that covered except for the age, which is unimportant.      But that comment brings up a saying an old vet once told me. " No matter how good looking they are or how much money they have there is someone out there tired of their shit."

Unless your already an "iron butt' any seat requires a little adjusting to. One hundred mile ride is not enough. It just tells you that you need a few more to adjust. Or get a Mercedes.

Huh, and give up a chance for an upgrade to make her happy?

Consider the English style dual seat with the white piping.

I found it to be MUCH more comfortable than the stock seat and it provides a nice size perch for your passenger. Plus, it looks great on an Enfield.

It's not cheap, but is worth the money.
