Bad battery - I've had exactly the same symptoms on other vehicles.

The battery shows 12.5 - 13V when tested, but has a very high internal resistance, so as soon as you put any load on it, the voltage drops right off.

I'll bet this week's wages a new battery will fix it.

 :D   Oh well..had the battery load tested yesterday...2 CCA.

Looking back, the symptoms were obvious! I should have stayed with the KISS system., but no, I dove right into the complex....

Mr. Singh suggested this at the outset....Do I feel like a dumb ass?  YES!
