Anyone make a recent 7" headlight conversion?

My stock light burnt out, running on high beam at the moment. Instead of simply buying another 5 3/4" sealed beam considering making the jump to a 7".

Ja ja... not legal in the US-DOT. Got it.

Looking for recommendations for a reputable seller and any "oh shites" to watch out for during the install.

In advance, Danke. (To include any snark ;)

I have not heard of a bad 7" light up grade.
 Depends on what you like.
I like being able to replace a small bulb . Others like a sealed beam.
After using two different 7" kits....easy enough to install.

A select few have had to elongate screw mounting holes to properly aim the light, but mine was perfect out of the box.  If you find yourself having to mess with those infamous "W"-clips, wear eye protection!

Here is one version you are not likely to see again.  My 2010 G5 Deluxe, using Adjure Diamond Cut Tripod Reflector + Pilot Light, in Chinese "CJ 750" peaked ring, on top of the gutted original deep intermediate ring, to make room for the deeper reflector. Considerable fitting involved. I still like it. The diamond cut reflector throws a lot of light everywhere, & makes up for having no aiming apparatus.

I bought the complete standard halogen beam kit from Nfield Gear. It took ten minutes to install and fit perfectly. The 7 inch beam is exactly the same as the 5 3/4 inch beam except the bright spot on the pavement is twice as wide. This is one modification that is really worth the price.

RE-Memphis,

For general night riding on road or off the 7" pre assembled is the best bang for any buck out there.

 Just my take.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

Adjure and several other 7" lights are also DOT stamped if you want that.  Then all you need are the inner/outer ring set and the flying W clips.

Yup just did the 7" change over recently, very straight forward other then getting the visor to behave while getting it all together.
