I've tried avons, bt45's(Bridgestone) metzlers, Pirelli speed/sport demons, now I'm on the k70,s.
They've lasted around 8000km so far and still have life in them. Quite impressed. They've outlasted the other tyres and are considerably cheaper.

For grip and great feel, number 1 is the avons and bt45. Bt's were expensive though and had the least lifespan.next the k70's. Pretty good grip, good feel and the cheapest of all. Next the Pirelli. Lasted pretty well, not too grippy though, then the metzlers lasertec. Didn't like the lasertecs at all. My 2cents.

8000 kms on K70s? That's got to be a record! a max of 4000 miles (6200K) is the best Jack and I and a lot of other people ever got out of them. Great tires, but rather short lived!

I've been using K70s on the front of different bikes for years. Yes, they give easily 10,000km each time. They feel terrible at the end of their life, however, as though the head bearings have gone. I only used one once on the rear, on my SR500, and it wore out by 3000km (which involved 1000km of upright highway). I like the flexibility of the tyre, which has essentially a dual-purpose pattern, meaning that dirt roads are a breeze. The price and look is an added benefit.

I got 5000 miles on my rear K70, and, at 5000, my rear looked like it would do 5000 more. I love the look, the grip and the tracking. My favorite tire for my C5.

I've got about 9,500 miles on my front K70 and it looks like it can go another 9,000 before it will need replacing. :)

I'm still riding with the OEM AVON on the rear at 16,700 miles but it's getting to look pretty worn out. :(
