The Woodsman was an Indian Sales corp marketed machine and even though manufactured by Royal Enfield in Redditch UK, it would be listed as an Indian and would have the Indian name on it. Nearly all of the later Enfields made in Madras/Chennai India for the US market were paterned on the 1955 350 and 500 Bullet models so you would need to check the numbers and title to be sure its not a clone. The 55 Indian models also had a Lucas magdyno set up for ignition & electrical charging systems. The 1956 & later Indian Woodsman & Westerner 500 singles have the later frame & tool boxes that visually differ quite a lot from the 1955 models.
