Toured the middle of Wisconsin over 7 days. 1,122 miles.
'06 Military hardly missed a beat once I drained the float bowl for the third
time and found a piece of crud that had been haunting me with an
intermittent miss that happened every few days. A burned out tail light
lamp was the only other trouble. Replenished 260 ml of synthetic oil
after the trip.
Enjoyed the hospitality of a fellow Bulleteer and camped for a night
on "the back 40" south of La Crosse. Thanks Bob! Saw the most incredible
meteor shower (the annual Perseids) in the wee hours of the 12th.
111 meteors in 2 1/4 hours. Dozens of fireballs. Trails that took seconds
to fade. Satellites galore. Flashing/rotating satellites. Flares. The brightest
"birds" I've ever seen in the night sky. A show to be remembered for
a long time!
Found the ultimate accessory for the Military. Yes...it's a real cannon.
Bulleteer....cannoneer....they go together well.....
Highly recommend a trip through the S/W third of Wisconsin.
Beautiful countryside. Nice road surfaces. Peaceful, winding roads
that don't let you down. Saw my first Amish traffic jam. Everyone
was heading back to the barn after a day of meaningful toil.
Already planning the next trip north of the Cheddar Curtain.
