glad you're still enjoying your AVL Classic.
You mentioned disk brakes, well you can have them if you fit the forks and a disk-brake wheel intended for another model, either the Electra-X or possibly an early B5 model (which still has the leading axle forks) if you want to keep the classic-style tin fork shrouds.
There is a disk conversion for your existing forks, but there is some doubt as to whether the drum brake lower fork leg is strong enough.
