Still minus the head with squish bands and the special 'Ace' rockers and valve gear, in this form it managed high midfield results at Cadwell Park. The C.R. is down to 11:1, but will return to 14.5:1 once the upgraded head goes back on  ;)

Sounds like some quick throttle response there, and a real nice sound.

I enjoyed seeing the vid!
Thanks!

BW, nice video.  I just love the Big Head Fury.  I believe only 191 Furys were manufactured from 1958 to 1961 and they were for the US market to compete with the BSA Gold Star.

Royal Enfield people are good people

Cheers,

It sounds beautiful and looks the part - but 24 seconds ain't enough! Can we have some more please.   :)

Thanks!
I have found these clips from a short while back on the dyno, the 500 is featured in the first one, the sound quality is not very good, but there's nearly four minutes of it - please feel free to look at my other videos and pictures, they are pretty much all bike related  ;)
When I speak in the second video, which features our very successful 350 Clipper, I am saying 'Right,  four to eight' [thousand revs]

That's one "Great" job you've done with those bikes. I'm impressed.  ;D ERC

Thanks, ERC !
We have yet to get the 500 set up with the 'Ace' Big Head, but that is not far off and we will also be going back up to 14.5:1 compression with that head, as opposed to the current 11:1 with the top end just 'assembled' with a fairly ordinary Big Head so it could run at Cadwell Park recently.
A very exciting engine for the 350 is in the early stages of development and it is hoped that it will exceed 40 BHP and in excess of 9000 RPM, to make it capable of staying in front of only two Manxes in BHR events that are capable of beating it at present, and a third Manx which is on a par with it  ;)

Unbelievable the power your getting out of these. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the Ace Mondello head.  ERC
