At work today I just finished replacing brakes and disks on a sporty C180K, so I decided to spin each wheel to see if any backing plates were rubbing.
So on the last wheel I spun it...by the rim...which jammed my index finger between the caliper.
One painful trip to ED, lots of blood and swearing, xrays and then a discovered compound fracture, basically snapped it in twaine.

One hour long surgery later Im laying high as a kite with a massive bandage on my hand.

Damn it Bryce :(

Fuaaaaaaaaark  :o  :-[

Damn. This again reminds us that we should take extreme care with whatever we are working on.

Specifically referring to our motorcycle sprockets as well. (Be careful whenever lubing/servicing chains, brakes etc)

Stay positive, Mr. Mazza, summer is fast approaching  :D I wish you a speedy recovery.

A new learning experience awaits you -- Learning how to pick your nose with your off hand. I just know that a man of your talent will master this in no time ! -- Seriously, sorry for your misfortune and wish you a speedy recovery.

When I took out my ribs years ago, trying to wipe my butt with the opposite hand was intersting as well... lol.

Hope you heal up soon.

My sympathies!  Been there, done that, probably everybody with a set of wrenches has.  And talk about a drug high after surgery - I was in a beautiful La-La land for a few days after they replaced my hip.  I fully understand why some people get addicted to those drugs.  Even a colonoscopy makes for a real buzz from the drugs.
