The Thruxton does have more horsepower than the scrambler, but the frames of the bikes are essentially the same. They are both higher than the regular Bonnies. Different bars, seats, and exhausts. Too heavy and didn't care for the handling. The original Thruxtons, before the injected were miserably uncomfortable, to me, at least. The later ones were better but still too tall. The carbed ones were a PITA to work on. To work on the carbs required removing the oil cooler and pipes just to reach them. Then pulling the float bowl to change jets, required a very skinny fingered person. I had a hell of a time with it. It as such a pain, that even tough I got mine a bit rich on the first change, it stayed that way because I didn't want to have to tackle the carbs again! My Speed Triple and Sprint RS were easier to work on!
At any rate, I didn't care for the way they handled either. I never really got comfortable on the scrambler. And no soul whatsoever.
