Rode my bike from the grocery store a 2 mile trip, on my way back to my house and I hear this loud rattling sound from the left side of the engine case...I stopped in a parking lot and the noise/sound was still there, sounds exactly as though a nut got loose inside and is rattling around... I'm hoping to resolve this issue.. Follows a YouTube link go the sound.

Sound like your primary chain slapping around a bit.... And a bolt may have gotten loose on the front gear, or an issue with the auto tensioner.

I think you should pull the side cover off and check ASAP .the primary drive sprocket has been known to come off and chew a hole in the case by getting wedged up in the clutch drive ... Not something you want to risk. If you lean the bike over onto the right hand footpeg you won't lose much oil ....good luck !

+1, open the left case.  It's most likely a loose nut/bolt in there or the primary tensioner is shot.  It will be obvious what's up once it's open, and should be an easy fix.

Glad you caught it in time to stop it from chewing through the case.

See?  Easy fix.  Everything else look ok?

Get a new one, put it in with some LocTite.  I'd recommend an oil/filter change too, just in case some metal flakes got sheared off and got into the oil.

Where did the bolt come from?

You can still get gaskets from India.  I recently got a full engine gasket kit delivered for about $33.  It was cheaper than buying just the head gasket locally and now I've got spares.

Just get some Permatex Gasket Maker. You don't need the paper gasket. Enfield hs stopped making a lot of the paper gaskets. I was getting one for the right side cover for a warranty and they just sent me the gasket making material.
