Anyone in Enfield land planning to do the DGR this year? It's a worldwide event for well dressed riders of classics,, cafe racers, bobbers, trackers and other custom, vintage or "interesting" motorcycles. Funds raised from the ride go toward prostate cancer research and is fun besides. Date of the ride this year is Sept 28. Check www.gentlemansride.com or facebook for a ride near you.

Yeah, I was planning on doing the Denver ride again.  Hopefully it doesn't fall apart at the last minute again like it did last year.  We still had about 75 bikes, but the original coordinator bailed out 10 days before the ride and we had to reassemble the ride literally at the last minute.  Not sure who is planning it this year.

If I'm not mistaken, the DGR started in Australia somewhere.

You don't have to wear a suit.  Last year I just wore slacks with a dress shirt and tie.  All blacked out.

Now that's an idea!  I'll be registering the ride in Tucson, and likely one of maybe 2 or 3 that actually do it...

Good day, chaps! Anyone registered for the DGR as yet? If you're not planning to, how about following the link to my profile and kicking a few $$ into my bucket? I'm aiming to raise a modest $250 and if that happens, I will be wearing a tie for the first time in my life. Make sure you're a part of this momentous, never to be repeated and absolutely undoable event by donating generously to the DGR.

BTW, I'm not riding the GT, but a buddy might take it along anyway  :)

I'm registered in Brisbane.  We have a strong cafe racer club here and the Brisbane ride currently sits 5th in the world for funds raised.  Still a long way to go though!
G'day from Brisbane, Australia!
