It's cool!
It's a Bullet.

But it is not really materially different than the more recent Iron Barrel 500 bikes that are much less costly.
Virtually all the parts on that bike are interchangeable with the recent Iron Barrel models.

Never understood why E-Bay makes people think there stuff is worth 3-4 time what you can buy it for. I've seen USED parts selling for more than a NEW part and on parts that's sitting at the dealer. I was looking for a part for my KRL and was able to buy it at the deal cheaper than The Bay.

Way down deep in his heart he may not really Want to sell it. It's very hard to part with a bike you have totally built over a period of months or even years unless you're in it as a business. I know; I've done it twice (3X if I count the Enfield) & am facing it yet again.

Very cool bike, I would love to build something similar with a modern Indian Enfield.

If by cool you mean expensive, then yeah.  It's a nice bike and looks clean, but seriously, it's not that special.

It's cool, but seriously overpriced, and it's not street legal. I would have no use at all for a non street legal bike, even my dirt bike is street legal.

I am still slightly confused about the Indian name being used by Enfield. It has no connection to the original Indian Motorcycle Company (and neither does the new Polaris owned Indian Motorcycle Company) I always assumed it had something to do with Floyd Clymer, who put the Indian name on just about everything, including Asian built mini bikes. The name may be the reason for the  high price, he may think someone will think it is a real Indian, even though Indian went out of business for good in 1953.

All the Indian motorcycles made between ~1954 and ~1960 were made by Royal Enfield, and badged as Indian. IIRC, the importer was named Brockhouse. He bought the rights to the Indian name. The collaboration ended somewhere around 1960.
Floyd Clymer tried to do a similar thing with the Interceptor in 1969/70, but it didn't work out, and just a few Series II Interceptor engines were made in Italjet frames as the Indian 750. Not sure if any actually were anything more than prototypes. Very rare.
After that, Enfield folded up, and 200 Series II Intercepter engines slated for Clymer were left stranded in a shipping warehouse, and Rickman bought them and created the Rickman Interceptors.

I think the guy really isn't serious about selling the bike.

His wife undoubtedly said, "You are going to SELL THAT DAMN MOTORCYCLE!" so, to maintain some semblance of peace in the household he said, "Yes dear.", and put the ad in craigslist.
