Exhaust comparisons
« on: July 15, 2014, 06:02:45 am »
First, I'd like to thank Peter (aka Nfield Gearman) and all the behind-the-scenes people for doing a great job with the Nfieldgear website.  There seems to be a new enthusiasm in making the site a better place to visit.  The recent influx of new options is appreciated (although I'm finding it harder to make up my mind with so many options).  In particular, the addition of more silencer/exhaust systems is great, especially where you add video to hear the exhaust note.  Any plans to do more videos or maybe just sound bites so we could compare the sound of one silencer to another?

Glad to here your digging my work! I exclusively work on improving the NField Gear website along with helping to suggest parts and accessories to stock.

I'm not sure if I noted this, but I have been building and wrenching on vintage motorcycles and scooters for about 25 years and have spent a lot of that time with british iron in particular.  I am also a contributing writer for the Lambretta Club USA's quarterly magazine "The Specialist" for the tech and how-to section.

Anyway, yes the long term goal is to have a video for every exhaust that we offer.  We've discussed doing some how-to's but are still working out the details on that.  It's an exciting time to own a Royal Enfield; I've got a running list of ideas ranging from new parts to improving the website that will hopefully make owning an Enfield an even better and more unique experience (is that even possible?).

NField Gearman, if you are looking for some ideas for improvement to the forum; this site has some excellent ideas. The shop talk section in particular I found extremely  helpful when restoring/ improving my GW. Something similar I feel would be helpful in working on my new RE.
