That looks hot!  8)
Can you remind me, what is the story with the muffler? Looks good. I was thinking about a pair like that (from Dime City Cycles) for my wife's Monster, as long as they're not ridiculously loud. How do you like your one?
Actually, that is a Dime City muffler. Its stainless and not ridiculously over priced like most pipes..and I dropped 14lbs over the stock pipe if I remember correctly. Its defiantly louder being straight through with very little baffeling, but sounds good to me (though that is very subjective).

Very nice looking transformation!
 8)

That means a lot coming from you! That bike you posted up was jaw-droppingly sexy.
I knew there was a true stripped down cafe' in the GT somewhere. lol I can't believe RE picked that awful yellow as a second color, when they could be selling this bike. They must have very different tastes than I do in India.

Thanks man. Looks good. They have the same muffler with baffling called "quiet r core" or something that might suit better. I'll find out what shipping costs to Aust and see if it works out.

Yeah, I just got the 12' shorty. No ground clearance issues for me, but I don't take corners on my knees. lol
Fiddled around with it after work. Still a bit to go, but she's 70% together...

Well, it's holding fuel again. Still not done with her by a long shot (wet sand and re-clear, swap out the bar end mirrors, ect..), but this is as she stands today. I know I'm gonna get crap about the straight pipe and wrap, but to me the straight line flows with the bike lines better, and that 12" shorty pipe doesn't hit. Header wrap looks bad? Well, I like my ankle not getting burned when at a light, and I actually love the fade in the wrap by the head from the heat. I've done it to all my bikes in the past with the same wrap.

Your torque curve is going to move up the rpm band by a few hundred rpm with that shorter OAL exhaust system length.

Nice one, man  8). That colour is great. Good choice. I guess you are planning to fix the muffler up with a bracket to the frame?

FWIW, I like heat wrap. It looks cool. Just thought that other build with it was lame, that's all. It's not like I don't use it myself..... ;)

WHOA !....  WOW !  Nice job . THAT one should be in CRM. That's a home made REal one!  Nice color combination.... it looks tuffer somehow.  Makes the bike look better and more serious.  Definitely more top end with that pipe..... get the grease paint out ! ;D ;)

Very nice work. And I personally love the wrap. I bet with a blacked out muffler it'd look pretty sick. Damn good job.

Burtial, see how the color changes? In the outside shots the knee indents highlight, and from that distance you can't see the logo, so you must..get..closer.. to find out just what kinda scooter this thing is....Lure cast, fish on a hook, just reel her in with half grin, arched eyebrow, toss of scarf and twirl of moustachio...perhaps a little more wine, my sweet?
