i think the worst part about this is that you're not getting to ride your GT while this incredible transformation is happening.  the payoff's gonna be great though.

Looks like your clear coat layed out good without too much orange peel.  What kind of gun were you using?

For color either a Sata minijet 4  or a Sharpe Finex FX1000 detail guns.  Depending on the size of the part a Devilbiss quart size Starting Line gun for clear.
For small parts one of the detail guns for clear also.

Nice!  I could tell by the pics you knew what you were doing.  So either you are a painter yourself, or you know someone that is a painter and took the time to teach you right.  Either way it looks great!  I've always been a fun of gun metal gray myself.  Especially on wheels.  Can't wait to see it back together.  Are you going to cut and buff or call it good?

Thanks guys, but I'm no painter....I'm a rookie on my best day. I know about enough to get me into trouble. haha
Unfortunately, its going to be a bit before I get it back together. I just had Carpal Tunnel surgery on both hands, so Im out for a few weeks. But it's 100 degrees here so I'm ok with not riding for a little bit.  ;)

Teaser pic! My hands felt good enough to just lay the tank and seat on the bike...I'm loving it not being red!

That looks hot!  8)
Can you remind me, what is the story with the muffler? Looks good. I was thinking about a pair like that (from Dime City Cycles) for my wife's Monster, as long as they're not ridiculously loud. How do you like your one?
