Very true. If this was a 1965 GT, I would touch it. But this is completly open. haha

Yes, I am still doing the black logo, with a checkered center strip. These will be under the clear coat.

Looking good.  You will get more depth out of your paint job if you do 2 coats of clear now, then wet sand with 800 grit paper, install your graphics and then do 2-3 more coats of clear.    ;)

Are you rattle canning or shooting with a gun?

Yeah, very nice ;D. Do yourself(and your eyeballs) a huge favor. Don't look at it in the sun till it's on the bike. Cover the paint, and roll it out into the sunshine. If you got a mate handy have 'em pull the cover while your back is turned. Then whip around and *gasp*(cause you will), while you walk around it while wiping the drool off your chin! I can see that with just the base color it's gonna look freakin' wicked! Post pics with hot chicks around it :P(hey baby, you're blocking the view-you're hot, but the bike is cooool8)) Nfieldgear has some black reflective wheel striping...just sayin' ;D

Some more progress. Rear cowl is done besides clear coat. Working on the tank now..finishing up graphics before the clear.

Thanks! The GT emblem in gold looks killer over top of the gunmetal!

Now if I can just get the damn thing to do the ton, it will truly be a cafe bike! hahaha

The logo looks incredibly sharp. It really pops. Your whole project is coming along really nice.

Burtial, your mods looks sensational!  Great work, man!!  And yes, the Continental GT logo really does stand out more than on my red one.  But red is my color, so I'm keeping that on mine.
Sincerely,

Son, I had no idea you were going to do the work yourself. I am impressed mightily with your checker application method, props to your finesse.  I was a little skeptical with the brand logo being just outline instead of filled, but this works; I can see ahead with the finish coat~marvelous it will be in the sunlight and sinister at night. It will make people look even harder. Ditto on the tank top, it POPS! Please send your gun specifications, including orifice size, and paint/finish mix ratios and the relative humidity/temps at spray and cure points. Again, pardner, out of the damn park on the job!
