It's a Mikarb, which is a sort of clone of a Mikuni VM round slide 28mm.
This is a throttle slide carb. Not CV.

That's right, the AVL has the CV carb.  My bad.    :-X

Maybe that last zero in the price was a misprint?

If that bike sells for even anything close to $20K, I'm taking the Blackhawk to Ohio to sell it.    ::)

Have you put any fresh gas in it? I'd drain the tank and carb and put in some fresh gas. See how much water, if any, comes out with the old stuff. Also take off the points cover and check for corrosion. How's the battery?
A bike sitting around for three months with no prep can lead to bad things.

Bein's that the picture he posted in the forum and the one on Craig's list are the same. it's a pretty good bet it's the same bike. And the way the ad is written, sounds like the price is not a typo.  I wouldn't want to say anything about misrepresentation.

I have just back on this forum, I have a 1972  Enfield India 350 with a micarb on it.   The starting procedure I use is turn on petrol. pull choke on. Pull decompressor lever in kick it over a few times to suck some petrol in then turn on ignition.  Turn the motor over with decompressor until the amp meter just goes back into negative then raise kickstarter and give it a good kick it should start first go.
