Can anyone help me with the placement of the oil-seal and bushing that go on the shift shaft where it passes through the outer primary cover?  My used bike does not have either, but I ordered them because I have a leak there, and I see them on the parts diagram for my bike.  Do they both go on from the outside, or insde of the cover?  The bushing appears to only go on from the outside, but it does not sit flush but rather protrudes by about 1mm.  I can still get the shifter on the splines, but is that right?  Thanks!

The bushing goes in first then the oil seal goes in flush with the outside of the cover. ERC
