I'm not home right now, so I have time to think about what I want and need to do to my Enfield. Next on my list, after the oil change next weekend, is the replacement of the pilot light that went out on the day I brought her home. So, can anyone tell me how that gets replaced, what bulb I replace it with, and if I can put an LED in there instead?

It looked to me like 2 small screws and out it comes. The owner's manual has a list of the bulb types. There may be a simple LED conversion. Google it when you find out the bulb type.

Unfortunately, I'm away on a business trip right now, so I can't grab the manual.

Maybe someone knows offhand. You can look at the manual online from the main RE site.

Pilot bulbs and some of the speedometer bulbs can be replaced with LED bulbs. The list and procedures are in the video link below.

IMPORTANT - About 3 years after the video was made, RE changed the base of some of the bulbs so have a look at them before ordering. The new bases also have equivalent LED bulbs that can be used. Some bulbs may still be the same as shown in video.

Nice video! I just ordered some LED pilots in amber. Is there a video on the (stupid) low fuel light? That needs to be visible in broad daylight. At least I think it would be helpful.

Here's a cluttered thread covering LED instrument bulb replacement:

http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/forum/index.php/topic,10412.0/all.html

Here's a post from that thread, with a few pics of my "light panel" bulb replacement:

I had forgotten how easy it is to remove! I used ACF50, one of my all time favorite lubes. The bulb says SWISS 12V2W. No idea which LED would fit.

If the bulb is one of the old fashioned metal based push and turn types use a #53.
If it is one of the new glass based type with the spring loaded wires at the bottom, I have no idea what the correct standard bulb is.

Thanks! The bulb is twist type. The lugs are simply stamped in the base. Not the little posts you are used to. It appears to be 5/16" diameter.

Superbright calls it a BA7s. That looks like the right one. I'll know when it gets here.
