Hello Gents,

I recently had to replace the CDI unit  of my '02 Electra CDI as the older unit fried itself. The replacement is a "SWISS" brand item and my initial riding impression is that the bike feels down on power.

My speculation is that the SWISS box is unable to generate as nice a spark as the original RE one. Can this be the case? I have searched around including the dealer and they do not have the genuine RE box in stock and will not be able to source one either. Is there any quality alternative in existence?

What are your thoughts and opinions..

This is the unit developed by Bullet Whisperer with a slightly newer ElectraX.  Alternatively, just give one of this companies a call for a direct replacement.
