Went to take a ride yesterday, and the C5 did not start. Usually when I turn the key on, the fuel injection runs a little, but this time dead silence, and when I hit the starter button nothing at all happened. Battery seems to be charged, horn beeps and lights light. Bike has no sidestand interface switch. Suggestions would be appreciated.

if you don't hear the fuel pump, you should have a look in the fuse box:
here you'll find two black square relay, on of those commands the fuel pump, it often pull out with vibration, i put a strap on mine so that it doesn't happen again. (it's very dangerous since it can happen while running the bike and suddenly no fuel!!!)
if not, look for an unconnected wire, or a dead fuse but don't panic there's few chances the pump is dead...

I will check the relays tonight. Bike was in neutral, neutral light on. Starter did not turn over, or even make noise. Could it be the battery?

Could be the Battery.... check your connections and voltage. But I would think the starter would crank some what and your fuel pump would come on. Unless it was REALLY dead.  Try it again, by pulling in the clutch lever.....

This may be a long shot... I don't know how old your Bullet is, but my kill-switch started acting up a few years ago.  Even in the run-position, occasionally it wouldn't go until I toggled it.  It never cut out on me during operation, but it did freeze me out on a few starts.

I never thouhgt to check the kill switch. That may well be the cause, and I will feel like a real jerk if it is.

If there's a kid, wife or dog within 100 yards of a motorcycle the kill switch often strangely turns off all by itself.

Well, maybe not a dog.  They usually cause damp areas underneath motorcycles but it seldom turns off the kill switch.

For what it's worth, when my G5 seemed to be totally dead one day it also didn't even boot up the ECU or run the fuel pump.
It turned out that one of the 20 amp fuses decided it wanted to die so die it did.
Replacing the fuses with some American made fuses solved the problem and it's never returned.

It was the kill switch. The bike is parked in the apartment garage, so at least I can think someone else turned it off. Still feel like a fool for not checking it. Thanks for all your replies.

Be happy it wasn't a real problem.  And we've all done this at least once.  How do you think we knew? ;)
