I'm sure this is the niggling leak that upsets all Enfield owners.
That tapper cover, mine always leak like 5ml of oil, the ammount that sits on that ledge inside, short of sealing it up with sealant, has anyone figured a make of making a modified gasket or seal that doesnt just actually seal, but prevents the oil from sitting on that inner ledge?

If you check the cover for flatness on the gasket mating surface, you might find it is warped. It csn be sanded flat by sanding it on a flat surface.
Make sure that the gasket is oriented with the cut corner on top.

I'll second what Ace said, I had a little leakage even with a new gasket, so I lightly sanded the cover on a flat surface and that solved the leak. (doing it a little at a time and checking your progress should show the areas that are "off")
