I really wish my bike had one master key instead of 3....I've noticed a lot of vendors sell 'common key' lock sets with ignition switch, tool box locks, gas caps, etc  all using the same key, but all those sets seem to have the round gas cap. My bike has the later style hinged rectangular lid.  Has anyone successfully removed the lock cylinder from the round gas caps and installed it on the later hinged units?  Both appear to have the cylinders held in with 2 small screws...
thanks for any input on the subject

I master keyed mine by myself.  I took the tumbler out and placed the key I wanted to work.  I then re-arranged the wafers until I had the best fit possible.  Any wafers above the shear line then need to be filers or cut down with a dermal tool.  If you have no experience with locks, take the lock and key you want to use to a locksmith and they can help.
