Leaned too far, scraped too far and lifted the front wheel, lost control.

He leaned too far because he was going too fast for that bike in a corner.

It's the most casual reaction to a crash.  Love the slow motion.

Started a nasty comment about those bikes, but I'm not gonna say anything!

Very lucky he didn't break his left leg/foot when it went up under the hard case.

Lowered bike = less clearance in a lean.

He must not have gotten the memo.

At stock ride height he could have leaned in ten degrees more and with plenty of clearance left over to boot.

It's a good thing he didn't have to use his Tupperware German helmet,or his road racing T-Shirt. What the hell are these guys thinking?

Have a VTX bagger myself and it corners just slightly worse than a FedEx truck.  But oh the torque!

Nothing wrong with owning a bagger, for those that like them.  Just like anything else you have to know the limitations.  There are plenty of things you can't do on an RE so you stay away from them, and one of the things you can't do on a bagger is corner like you're on a Ducati...

I wasn't necessarily talking bad about baggers themselves, I've seen some very nicely built ones.  I was simply trying to make a point that if you own a lowered custom bagger and you are trying to carve Mulholland Highway like you're on a Rocket, you obviously have Play-Doh for brains.  Especially after you hear your hard bag scraping for a good 20 or 40 feet and do nothing to slow down.

Haaaaaaaaa....I didn't buy my bagger to carve up anything...It's just a V twin machine with a soft seat and enough torque to plow down the road in a mild manner...GM
Oh Magoo you done it again

Ya think it's got more torque than a Fedex truck?

I't doesn't look like the bag had anything to do with the crash. He leaned over too far, and the primary cover touched down, lifting the rear wheel off the ground. You can see the sparks ahead of the bag. I think that bike had been lowered. I had an '85 Goldwing that would lean over quite a bit farther than that. But large touring bikes are not designed for sport riding.
