For a later (2006) iron barrel, which service manual would you recommend? Nfield Gear sells both the Snidal's and the factory "super service manual" ...so which single book (I will buy both eventually, but for now help me pick ONE) would you folks recommend?

If there is another, good-quality manual out there, I'm open to that too...

I have the factory super service manual, the Snidal manual, and the factory parts book.
They all have their good points. If one has some weak spots, the other usually can get you through.

For me, the parts book is the most useful. It has the exploded diagrams and all the parts numbers for ordering.

FWIW mines also an '06 Iron Barrel, I do all my own wrenching, IMHO the two manuals together plus the parts book were and are evenly tied for best/most important purchase(s).

Compared to each other the Super Factory seems a bit like the Chilton manuals of the 1970's while Pete Snidals manual seems a bit Haynes like. So my advice is buy them in the order you prefer.
No matter where you go, there, you are.
