Just as I returned home from a 40 mile ride this morning, I pulled into my driveway and my right tool box popped oped spilling out all my tools. Lucky it happened in my driveway so I didn't have a wrench bounce up into the motor of the Harley guys behind me.
I find that the tabs holding the toolbox closed barely touch. I disasembled the lock and slightly bent the piece with two 90 degree angles to fit a bit better. I also found that the large nuts holding the assembly in were loose from the factory on both sides.
I can't carry all the tools I want to any longer. No real lesson here. Just be very careful as to how much weight you place in the toolboxes. You may lose it.
