Is it that hard to take off the head every 10k miles, or so, and just clean it out and put it back on?
Takes an afternoon to do. No big deal. Gives you an opportunity to do a good inspection and maintenance job on the head.

Good thought! For me, pulling the head would only open up a can of worms as I have the Hitchcocks performance valve kit that I have been sitting on, and then I'd have to break out the die grinder, and "one thing leads to another".................That was a good song ;D
