parts availability
« on: March 22, 2014, 11:07:37 pm »
I have ridden Japanese bikes most of my life, and still have 3 of them. For the past several years I have been getting my oem parts online from places like cheapcycleparts.com and bikebandit.com. How easy is it to get oem parts for a RE. Can they be ordered from a RE dealer? And if the local dealer disappears, can they be ordered from RE online?

Scoot Over, the dealer here in Tucson, orders anything I want from the Nfield Gear catalog only I don't have to pay the shipping it goes right to the store and I pay when I go to pick it up.  They do a real good job and always call the order in to make sure it is actually available.  Sometimes the web site will list that a part is not in stock but talking to someone on the phone seems to work the best at getting the right parts.  I haven't tried any of those ebay stores yet...

Scoot Over is where I bought my bike. They are a nice dealer. Only problem is they are 120 miles away. An excuse for a nice ride I guess. There are only 3 Enfield dealers in the state, one is in Prescott, they other is actually in my city, but they are a ripoff. They charge over $1000 more OTD than Scoot Over did. So Scoot Over has earned my business.
