Cable actuated controls always work best when the cable has the fewest bends in the cable.  Everybody knows this right?  Well just last week the rubber grommet that holds the front brake cable  next to the front fender broke.  Thought I would replace it with something more durable.  But guess what?  I noticed that my front brake now feels much better.  Like in stronger.  Fewer bends in the cable translates to better actuation.  Try it you will be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, I don't use a front brake cable guide either.  No problems at all.
