Even though modern cars and bikes have developed into truly amazing machines, I think we will never again see the diversity and character of the pre '68 era. My 05 at least gets me close.

Yeah, it's a dull world these days.  Safety and environmental regulations have made sure that this sort of productionised home-brew vehicle can't ever see the light of day again.

I used to have a Berkeley. A '59 with a three cylinder Excelsior Two stroke 500 cc engine. It was a  much better looking car with the lower nose. It weighed about 650 lbs. They were great fun and would do about 85. Ran about like an Enfield! Called it my unsanforized Ferrari!
