I took off the wiring, and the starter from my 03 Bullet es.  im left with a 1 7/8" hole, and im sure oil will splash out....whats available to plug that void, or should I cut a 2" piece of 1/8" aluminum plate and silicone it on?

Nothing like doing it yourself on the cheap. That's what I would do.

I used a 1 3/4" Automotive/Marine expansion plug - part number AMP 10258 at Ace Hardware.  Cost about 6 bucks.  Large size version of a drain plug for a rowboat.

I just left the starter in the hole. Might want it someday.
Take your time leaving but hurry back
