Does anyone know where to source some taper cup bearings for the triple trees on a Redditch model?  Hitchcocks is out of their damn minds charging £160 for a set.   :o

Bruce Argetsinger, the Bullet flat - tracker makes a kit. I don't know what he charges for it.

Edit: Here's his site.
www.enfieldracing.com

He charges $185.00.

Bearings are pretty much standardized so if you have the originals you can measure the outside/inside diameters and the stacked height with the tapered rollers installed.

If your lucky, you can find what your looking for in a catalog you can download from this site

http://www.timken.com/EN-US/PRODUCTS/Pages/Catalogs.aspx

If you find the bearing, write down the number and then google it.

OooOOOOoohhh!!!!!!  A Timken Catalog!!!    ;D   Thanks bro!

I don't trust those ball bearing cup style.  They're fine for the Blackhawk but I don't trust them at 150mph if you know what I'm saying.    8)

So I'm looking at Hitchcock's and it looks like their set has special cups with them which makes 160p sound a little more reasonable.

I'm thinking of finding out what bearing size/s I need and just taking my original cups to a local machine shop and them modified.  I can't imagine that costing more than $40-$50.    ???
