Hello everyone i am lurking here from a long time but posting on this forum for first time really gained a lot of knowledge from everyones posts.

I am having Classic 500 Efi in india with upswent exhaust i liked the sound of it compared to the stock exhaust.

Earlier i am having CI 500 but i loved the C5 its much more refined than the CI 500.

Its running beautifully from last two years but now seems there is change in engine sound posting a link to engine sound please have a look and suggest if it sounds normal or having any probs please have a look..

Hi there,
I have a C5 classic and mine sounds the same. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Regards,

Dan.

Your bike sounds pretty normal to me.  I believe what you are hearing is lifter tick, which is quite normal for these bikes.  Does the noise get louder or quieter as the bike warms up?

They're weird like that.  If it was a rod it would get more pronounced when you rev it up then let off/close the throttle - as the engine winds down with no load it gets most pronounced - knock, knock, knock.  You don't have that noise from what I can hear in the vid.  I only hear tappet clatter.
