Hey!  Sometimes you have to create your own fun!  :D

I've seen a few of the Kawi Versys (that is what meant right?) around town here.  They look like a pretty capable bike, but I don't know much about them.

Oops on the typo. I'm normally a stickler for that.  :-[
Yeah, it's his first bike (used), but he got a good deal and so far has had to put very little into it$$$-wise. Likes the handling and natch the MPG.

Very cool.  My '72 Honda CB175 sees year-round use here in northern Michigan.  I don't ride long distances in the icy weather - the wind chill at 60 MPH is crazy, but the looks I get when I pull up to a little diner on a motorbike in the middle of winter are priceless.

First Gear makes a cold weather riding suit for under $200 that gets great reviews.  I've read of several people who say that jeans and a t-shirt are all you need under it in sub-freezing weather and you stay plenty toasty and dry.  I tried one on once and started sweating in the shop as soon as I zipped it up.  You still need to find a way to keep your hands and feet warm and dry but this suit is really nice and really cheap for cold weather.

As for me, I hate to say it but I'm off the bike for a while.  It got unseasonably cold really quickly here in the Pacific Northwest, came out of nowhere.  With temps in the mid 20s at night it's cold enough that I don't even want to go clean up the garage at night.  Brrrrr!  But if things go as usual there will be those lovely, 40 degree sunny weekend days every few weeks and I'll sneak out for a little ride here and there.  But not today, snow and icy streets on the way to work.  Ick!

Scott
I can vouch for the first gear suit. it's what kept me on two wheels for the last 3 years when temps are low. supposed to be mid 20's tomorrow morning, wonder what the wind chill is at 65mph?

I have actually looked at that suit before, I do like it, I just never got around to buying one.  Maybe I'll pick one up in the Spring after they go on clearance at Performance Cycle.

Here's another video playing in the snow.  Still trying to figure out the correct position for mounting the helmet cam.
