I have a hard time reading the verification text which has to be input correctly before a message can be posted.  I usually have to "Request another image" several times so I can actually read it.  I know that there is a "Listen to the letters" option, but I would prefer just to look at the text.

Log in up at the top of a page and check the "keep me logged in" box.  I don't go through verification every time I post.

I think after the forum computer figures out that your a real human rather than a lurking SPAM computer in China the need to read and retype those stupid letters will disappear.

You could have cookies disabled in your browser so the server can't see that you've logged in.

I just joined and I am logged in and I do have cookies enabled and I did check the keep me logged in button and I see the horrible verification thing each time. It is extremely difficult to read. I hope it goes away rather quickly. I'd like to belong and participate but this makes it very unpleasant.

AIR, the verification thing goes away after you've posted a few posts.  It's there to keep spammer's away and it usually works although spammers are devious.  I've seen several post numerous spams before they were caught and banned from the site.
